About Jessie

Hi, I’m Jessie, a self-taught (but continuously learning and improving) artist from Upstate New York. I work in Human Resources, but during my free time, you will find me painting to my favorite music (country and rock!). More than anything, I love my two daughters, Virginia and Miriam, and my husband of 20+ years, Jeremiah. My other loves include my Morkie pup, “Brick”, books, candles, and everything cozy or colorful. I love a big snowstorm, autumn fires, and lake swimming.

I never pictured myself as an “artist,” but I recently discovered my painting passion and have been ferociously and obsessively pursuing it. I adore painting books, nostalgic foods, and anything from the 80’s and 90’s. I’m constantly experimenting with color and love how abstract painting can let me explore this. Unlike life, there are no rules in art. My dream is to be a full-time artist and really live by the slogan:
